The Christmas Story, Again

How many times have we heard it, seen it, sung it? In movies and in carols, in cartoons and in skits, at church and in concerts, caroling up and down the Diamond, gathering with family and friends.

Angels, shepherds, wise men; Joseph, Mary; sheep, cows, a donkey; and in the middle a Child in a manger, Jesus himself, God become human, eternity entering time, light and life shining on a people lost in darkness.

and in the middle a Child in a manger, Jesus himself, God become human, eternity entering time, light and life shining on a people in darkness

There's a reason we sing the songs, put on the skits, dress up, throw parties, light candles, and spread around the greenery. God in Jesus comes to be with us, to save and heal the world, to reverse the curse and bring hope, joy, peace, and love for all people.

See it, hear it, sing it, feel it. The world changed when Jesus came, and for thousands of years we have been celebrating.
