Simple Faith, Simple Love

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love. (Galatians 5:6)

Laughlintown Christian Church is, as its name implies, a Christian church. We're part of a long tradition of trying to avoid labels and divisions, and to unite on a shared identity of belonging to Christ.

There are lots of things that might divide us--opinions or quarrels, grievances or fears. But the Bible teaches us that the most important things are the things that unite us. When we focus on faith expressing itself through love, it's pretty easy to remember all that we have in common as followers of Jesus. We put our faith in Jesus, and express it by loving others.

That's the only thing that counts--more important than doctrinal differences or worship style, more important than political opinions or clashing personality. We put our faith in Jesus; we express it by loving others.

Join us for our Sunday worship at 10 a.m., or our Wednesday evening Bible study at 6 p.m., or our Sunday School at 9 a.m. There's a special Ladies' Meeting this coming Wednesday at 7 p.m. (November 4), and a church breakfast a week from Sunday at 9 a.m. (November 8). Find a way this week to re-commmit your faith in Jesus. Find a way to express that faith by loving others.
