They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. (IActs 2:42)

The earliest Christians didn't have church buildings. They didn't have structures or programs. What they had was a shared life devoted to God--to the teaching of Jesus' first disciples, to gathering to encourage each other, to shared meals remembering Jesus, and to praying. As summer approaches and the weather turns warm, there's a lot of things going on in everyone's life. There are a lot of things we give our time and attention to--sports and jobs, health and family, travels and gardens, social media and our favorite shows. Sometimes, our time with God gets squeezed out.

Sometimes, our time with God gets squeezed out.

I encourage you to set aside some time for a shared life devote to God. Who are you praying with? When are you opening your Bible for the apostles' teaching? What care are you taking to make sure that fellowship in Jesus' name, and shared meals remember Jesus, are still part of your life?

We're very, very happy to be a church that is there for people when they're able to come--no requirements, no pressure, no rules. But I hope that your introduction to Jesus inspires you to a shared life devoted to God. Find times, in church and out of it, to pay attention to the things that matter most. Give me a call if you need a different time to study the Bible with others, from early morning to late at night--any time, any place. Don't let your time with God get squeezed out.

Every Sunday we have a 10 a.m. worship service. During worship is our award-winning kids' program. We also have 9 a.m. Sunday School and a midweek Wednesday study. Finally, this Sunday at 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. is Youth Night, with activities and spiritual focus. Come as you are and invite a friend.
